Google Aug 1st Core Update

The Google search algorithm upgrade from August 1 has now been fully implemented, and here is what we understand about the new algorithm, who we think was impacted and several of the analysis of what, if any, actions you may want to consider taking in the event that you where negatively affected.

To conclude, Google is calling this a broad, global, main update, but based on much of the research done thus far, there appears to be a give attention to health and medical sites and YMYL Your cash Your Life sites. Although many sites besides those were influenced by the update. Google is informing us that there is nothing you can do to fix your site, so you should just give attention to making a great experience, offer better content and an even more useful website. This update has used on the name the Medic Update because of its give attention to the health and medical space. This kind of specific focus is something Google will not validate.

Google references its advice from the previous core improvements, saying there’s “no ‘fix’ for pages that may perform worse, other than to remain centered on building great content. After some time, it could be that your content may rise relative to other pages. ” Google also said, “As with any update, some sites may note drops or gains. There is nothing wrong with pages which may now perform worse.  Instead, it’s that changes to our systems are benefiting pages that were previously under-rewarded.”
